The third Emerging Polymer Technologies Summit will be combined with the first Emerging Material Technologies Summit 2018 (EMTS'18) to create an exciting opportunity for leading researchers to showcase the latest, boundary spanning advances in materials science and engineering, strengthen current networks and establish new collaborative links. The EPTS/EMTS'18 scientific program aims to focus on cutting-edge, disruptive technologies as well as illustrate the relevance and value of science and engineering to the modern society. The main themes of the summit are as follow, but presentations from all related aspects are welcome:

Organic/hybrid/perovskite solar cells
Emerging energy storage: batteries, super capacitor, emerging catalyst for H2 production

Biosensing technology
Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine
Wearable/stretchable bioelectronics
Drug and gene delivery technology
3D printing technology
Antimicrobial materials

Data driven materials design using machine learning
Materials simulations using DFT, Monte Carlo or Molecular Dynamics

Materials synthesis
Materials characterization
Polymerization mechanisms

Our varied program shows how multidisciplinary science has become and how collaborations across fields are the best approach to tackle today's challenges. It also gives researchers from less developed countries an excellent opportunity to keep abreast of the latest advances in many areas of science and engineering.

EPTS/EMTS'18 will be held in the heart of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, a city that is known for its centuries-old architecture and the rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese, French and Russian influences. Hanoi, located on the banks of the Red River, is one of the most ancient capitals in the world, where travellers can find well-preserved colonial buildings, ancient pagodas, and unique museums within the city centre. The city is also known for its delectable cuisine, vibrant nightlife, silks and handicrafts. Meanwhile, the tranquil countryside is a short drive away, featuring lush parks, verdant mountains, traditional villages, and the iconic Ha Long Bay.
